Silent pathway

i scar, i ruin,
i am inevitable, i am doom,
i am not your enemy, nor your friend,
i am your pathway, i am your end,
many embrace me, many are afraid,
i come before you are ready but always when said,
i come in many ways, some horrific some not,
i come even before your first words, just a bundle in your cot,
i am not sorry, i have no emotion,
its just the way its written, it was never a caution,
you may curse me, hate me, wish i never existed,
but i will not falter, i will not fail, i shall never be wasted,
i take you to your home or the end you did not want,
but you have the freedom to choose, which i have not,
i do scar, i do ruin,
but i am not your enemy, nor your friend,
just a pathway, just your end.
